+The Template Project was originally written as a first-year MFA project, but could be adapted for BFA students with greater emphasis on discussing systems, structure and where to locate authorship. I see this as a transitional project in my teaching...moving both the students and myself away from the dominance of content (orthodox) towards a focused investigation of system and structure where content is definitely not dominant...and may not even be prominent (heresy???).
