Initiated by [[http://www.workshopproject.org/|Workshop Project]] the [[wp>Wiki]] serves as a platform for exchange, production and documentation. Design educators can request a [[info@workshopproject.org|user log-in]] to join the project and become editors.


===== The Structure =====

As an editor you read, edit and create articles and use the embedded [[http://etherpad.org/|note pad]], a real-time collaborative editing tool that comes with every article. The combination of wiki articles and note pads offers an infrastructure to collaborate on writing syllabi, resource lists, manifestos, curricula, etc. The note pads can be used to draft, brainstorm and set agendas. The wiki articles offer a more elaborate form of editing, and can be used to finalize and structure text as well as add media such as images and videos. 

===== Editing & Creating Articles =====

The editing process can be tracked back in the note pads and wiki articles. Changes can be made and undone. 

To create a wiki article you can either type the desired title for your article in the search window. You will get notified that the article does not exist yet. You can then hit "Create page" in the top menu and start editing!

===== The Wiki Syntax =====

Wiki uses it's own syntax, a wiki mark-up, which is comparable to mark-down. You can make use of the tool bar on the top of each article to mark-up your texts or use this style guide that lists the Wiki [[https://www.dokuwiki.org/wiki:syntax|Syntax]]. Workshop Project Wiki was designed and developed in June 2017 for [[http://www.workshopproject.org/|Workshop Project]] as an experiment in design education by Anja Groten and André Fincato of the Amsterdam-based collective [[https://hackersanddesigners.nl/|Hackers & Designers]]–using [[https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki#| DokuWiki]]–an open source, wiki software that doesn't require a database, using a clean and readable markdown syntax.
